§ Mr. FreemanWe have recently received a letter from Manchester TUC pensioners as well as several representations by Manchester Members of Parliament on their behalf. Responsibility for concessionary fares in Greater Manchester rests with the passenger transport authority and the district councils. It is for those authorities to decide what level of concessions is appropriate, taking account of their other local spending priorities.
