To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what is Her Majesty's Government's policy towards a united China; and if he will make a statement.

In 1950 the British Government recognised the Government of the People's Republic of China as the sole legal Government of China. There is no change in that position.
