HC Deb 10 February 1993 vol 218 c697W
Mr. Milligan

To ask the Secretary of State for Health what is the latest estimate of the money lost by the Wessex regional health authority in attempting to install a new computer system; and if she will make a statement on the current situation.

Mr. Sackville

The district auditor estimated that about £43 million has been spent by the Wessex regional health authority on the RISP computer project. The Wessex RHA's regional general manager has publicly stated that the RHA has derived no benefit from about £20 million of that expenditure.
