HC Deb 10 February 1993 vol 218 c626W
Mr. Austin-Walker

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will make a statement on the proposed number of police officers in the Plumstead division of the Metropolitan police for 1993.

Mr. Charles Wardle

[holding answer 5 February 1993]: There are currently 257 officers in the Plumstead division.

Allocation of officers in the Metropolitan police district is a matter for the Commissioner of the Metropolitan police. I understand that at present there are no plans to alter the number of officers stationed at Plumstead.
