Friend the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the Environment, announced on 15 July 1992 the Government's proposal to bring forward for public consultation draft revised planning guidelines on coal extraction generally. The intention is to proceed to public consultation as soon as practicable once the results of the coal review have been announced.
