HC Deb 08 February 1993 vol 218 c501W
Mr. Llew Smith

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment what assessment she has made of the effects of the proposed abolition of wages councils on(a) black and Afro-Caribbean workers, (b) workers of Indian sub-continent origin and (c) white workers respectively.

Mr. Michael Forsyth

Black, Indian, white and other workers will benefit from the abolition of the councils, which will free up the labour market and increase job opportunities.
