§ 28. Mr. Shersby
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what proportion of his Department's budget for London is spent on public transport.

§ Mr. Norris
The Department does not have a separate budget for expenditure in London. But, in the current financial year, London Transport and Network SouthEast are expected to invest in total about three times the amount which the Department will be spending on the construction and capital maintenance of roads in London.
