HC Deb 08 February 1993 vol 218 c496W
Mr. David Clark

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what changes in his policy over the last three years have resulted from his "Options for Change" study; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Archie Hamilton

Plans for restructuring Britain's armed forces were set out in detail in both the 1991 Statement on the Defence Estimates, "Britain's Defence for the 90s" (Cm. 1559-I), and "Britain's Army for the 90s" (Cm. 1595). These were updated in the 1992 statement (Cm. 1981), and have since been supplemented by a number of public announcements, including my right hon. and learned Friend the Secretary of State for Defence's statement on 3 February 1992,Official Report, columns 319–28, about Army manpower.
