§ Mr. Chris SmithTo ask the Secretary of State for Transport, pursuant to his written answer of 1 February,Official Report, column 1, what evidence the marine accident investigation branch has now taken or plans to take in respect of the progress of the steps that were being taken by the owners of the MV Braer at the time of its accident to renew the insurance cover of the vessel.
§ Mr. NorrisThe conduct of the inquiry into the Braer accident is a matter for the inspector, and I cannot discuss the evidence which is being obtained in the course of the investigation.
