HC Deb 05 February 1993 vol 218 c357W
Mr. Llew Smith

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what arrangements he has made in his Department to implement the Public Information for Radiation Emergencies Regulations 1992.

Mr. Gwilym Jones

Within Wales, these regulations apply to the small number of employers whose business undertakings might conceivably come within their scope, and to the county councils as part of their emergency planning responsibilities. The Welsh Office has no direct responsibility for their implementation but the Department will be one of the organisations consulted by the county councils under section 4(3) of the regulations.
