HC Deb 04 February 1993 vol 218 c263W
Mr. Rowe

To ask the President of the Board of Trade what changes he proposes to the cash or running costs limits for the Office of Fair Trading.

Mr. Heseltine

Yes. Subject to parliamentary approval of the necessary supplementary estimate, the cash limit of the Office of Fair Trading will be reduced by £57,000 from £18,246,000 to £18,189,000. The reduction represents a sum to be surrendered to the consolidated fund in respect of the office's contribution to the transfer value of Sir Bryan Carsberg's pension following his appointment as director general.
