HC Deb 04 February 1993 vol 218 c297W
18. Mr. Corbyn

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the cost in the last financial year of tax relief on company cars; and if he will make a statement.

Sir John Cope

Capital allowances for company cars are estimated to have reduced corporation tax receipts by about £900 million in 1991–92. The hon. Member would not expect me to make a statement on taxation matters at this time of year.
