§ Mr. StewartScottish Enterprise has recently published a charter standard statement outlining the body's 223W commitment to serving the economic and environmental needs of Scotland and to enhancing the skills of its people. The local enterprise companies are developing parallel statements; and two have already been published. My right hon. Friend had emphasised the importance of the citizens charter in his strategic guidance to Scottish Enterprise, towards the end of 1991; and the Government warmly welcome the action which Scottish Enterprise and the local enterprise companies are taking to put citizens charter principles into practice.
