To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what consultations he has had with(a) the Association of County Councils, (b) the Association of Chief Police Officers, (c) the Police Federation and (d) others with regard to proposals to restructure the police force and police authorities in Nottinghamshire.

My right hon. and learned Friend has had no discussions relating to police organisation in Nottinghamshire. He is considering a range of issues relating to the future structure, organisation and funding of the police service generally.

My right hon. and learned Friend does not yet have firm proposals for change, but when he does, he will consult interested parties before final decisions are reached.
