To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what review OFWAT is making of flexibility in infrastructure charges.

[holding answer 1 February 1993]: The Director General of Water Services has announced his intention to undertake a fundamental review of infrastructure charges as part of the overall review of water company charges in 1994. He will shortly be issuing a consultation paper which will set out the options for change to infrastructure charges.
