To ask the Secretary of State for Education when he next plans to meet the chair of the National Curriculum Council to discuss the progress being made in the implementation of the national curriculum.

My right hon. Friend and my right hon. and noble Friend the Minister of State have regular meetings with the chairman of the National Curriculum Council. Progress in the implementation of the national curriculum is a normal part of the agenda of such meetings.
