HC Deb 01 February 1993 vol 218 c2W
Mr. Llwyd

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will make a statement on the implications of the collapse of Charterail for his Department's franchising arrangements for British Rail and the proposed use of charging policy to freight companies for track use.

Mr. Freeman

The collapse of Charterail has no implications for the franchising of British Rail services, nor for the access charging regime for rail freight operators.
