§ Mr. Peter LloydFuture national arrangements for warning the public will be based on the use of television and radio broadcasts. Local arrangements are the responsibility of the authorities in the areas concerned. Home Office officials are holding discussions with local authorities in whose areas the siren system formed part of local warning arrangements.
