HC Deb 01 February 1993 vol 218 cc79-80W
Mr. Gordon Prentice

To ask the Parliamentary Secretary, Lord Chancellor's Department how many judges have been convicted of a criminal offence in each year since 1972; and what was the nature of the offence.

Mr. John M. Taylor

The information is not readily available. The Lord Chancellor expects that judges will draw information about convictions to his notice. Information is then kept on the individual records of the judge concerned.
