Mr. Madden

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will arrange for officials at the posts in Pakistan, India and Bangladesh to make brief visits to the regional centres of those countries to assist people intending to apply for visas to visit the United Kingdom; if he will discuss with those countries' high commissioners in the United Kingdom how such facilities could be provided throughout the Indian subcontinent; and if he will make a statement.

No. Information and assistance is already available at our four posts in India, two in Pakistan and one in Bangladesh. Any person intending to visit the United Kingdom can visit, telephone or write to these posts for assistance.
