HL Deb 01 February 1993 vol 542 c2WA
Baroness Hamwee

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will include the National Maritime Museum, Old Royal Observatory and other buildings at Greenwich within the reviews of fire security at Royal palaces.

Viscount Astor

The fire protection inquiry established by the Secretary of State is specifically directed to the Royal palaces. However, publication of the report will enable the owners and trustees of other historic buildings to consider the application of the recommendations to their own properties.
