§ Sir Wyn RobertsThe enterprise allowance scheme is administered by the TECs who are free to adapt it to local circumstances and who, in recent years, have introduced greater selectivity to ensure that assistance is targeted at those businesses with the most promising plans and prospects. We have made £5.3 million available for this purpose in 1992–93.
