asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they have noted the series of criticisms made in the report The Environmental Information Regulations and THORP by the Campaign for the Freedom of Information concerning the alleged failure by the Government and their regulatory authorities to disclose particular safety and environmental information on THORP.

We have noted the criticisms in the report. It is for the individual bodies concerned to decide what, if any, obligations are placed on them by the Environmental Information Regulations. Ultimately, only the courts can decide on the matters of legal interpretation.
