To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if vehicles carrying nuclear warheads on public roads are obliged to display radiation hazards signs.

Requirements for the display of such hazard signs are set out in the Radioactive Substances (Carriage by Road) Regulation 1974, as amended in 1985. Paragraph 20 of these regulations provides an exemption in the case of the carriage of nuclear weapons.
