HC Deb 17 December 1993 vol 234 c977W
Mr. Cousins

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what functions Mr. Christopher Muttukumaru has exercised and what information he has received on behalf of the Treasury Solicitor in respect of the Treasury Solicitor's shareholding in International Military Services Ltd.

The Attorney-General

I have been asked to reply. Mr. Christopher Muttukumaru served as an assistant Treasury Solicitor between 25 January 1990 and 23 November 1992 when he was appointed as secretary to Lord Justice Scott's inquiry. By virtue of his status as an assistant Treasury Solicitor he might in theory have been asked to perform duties on behalf of the Treasury Solicitor under the Treasury Solicitor Act 1876 in relation to the Treasury Solicitor's shareholding in International Military Services Ltd. In fact, having checked the relevant files, the record shows that Mr. Christopher Muttukumaru did not during that time exercise any function or receive any information on behalf of the Treasury Solicitor in respect of the Treasury Solicitor's shareholding in International Military Services Ltd.
