§ Mr. AllenTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how the work of the ad hoc group on immigration will be co-ordinated with that of the co-ordinating committee established on the basis of article K4 of the Maastricht treaty.
§ Mr. Charles WardleFollowing implementation of the treaty on European Union, the ad hoc group on immigration has been replaced by a group of senior officials, known as steering group I, covering immigration and asylum matters. Steering group I reports to the article K4 committee, whose role is to oversee and co-ordinate this and other intergovernmental work under title VI of the treaty.
