To ask the President of the Board of Trade which countries of the EC have not yet introduced a blank tape levy.

§ Mr. McLoughlin
The United Kingdom has not introduced a blank tape levy; nor, to the Government's knowledge, have Ireland or Luxembourg. The Government also understand that there is no levy scheme in operation in Belgium, Greece, Italy or Portugal. However, we believe that in these four member states legislation for a levy is either planned or already in place.
