HL Deb 16 December 1993 vol 550 cc126-7WA
Lord Denning

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether the first part of the Lord Advocate's Answer of 7th December (H.L. Deb, col. WA61), is simply a repetition of the statute itself and requires an affirmative answer; whether the second part is a simple matter of interpretation on which there is no case law: and whether they agree that, since they introduced the Bill, they should know the meaning intended.

The Lord Chancellor

I do not have anything to add to the answers which have already been given on this matter.
