HC Deb 16 December 1993 vol 234 c837W
11. Mr. Spellar

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what are the latest figures for imports and exports between the United Kingdom and each of the other countries of the European Union.

Mr. Nelson

In the first nine months of the year, there was a deficit of £0.8 billion in visible trade with other members of the European Union, compared with a deficit of £2.5 billion over the same period in 1992.

Figures for United Kingdom trade with individual members of the Union consistent with these totals will be available shortly.
