§ Mr. RedmondTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list by police authority for the last four years, and for this year to date, the number of hit and run vehicle accidents involving pedestrians that have been reported; how many of the accidents were caused by stolen vehicles; and how many resulted in the death of the pedestrian.

The number of hit and run accidents involving pedestrians and the number of hit and run accidents involving pedestrian fatalities for the last four years for each police authority are given in the tables. Data for 1993 are not yet available. Information on stolen vehicles involved in injury accidents is not available.
