HC Deb 16 December 1993 vol 234 cc866-7W
Mr. William O'Brien

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what provision currently exists in Northern Ireland for(a) children with learning difficulties and (b) children with cerebral palsy; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Ancram

A wide range of services and facilities is available at special schools and special units throughout Northern Ireland for children with learning difficulties, including those with cerebral palsy and other motor disorders. Each child follows a learning programme which is individually tailored according to his or her needs (as specified in his or her statement of special educational needs), together with any necessary equipment and ancillary support.
