§ Mr. MacGregorI am delighted to announce that the construction of Ashford international passenger station is to go ahead as a privately financed project. European Passenger Services has now signed agreements with John Laing plc whereby Laing will construct the station buildings and car parks, at its own cost and risk, and will in return receive from EPS a fee for each passenger using the station.
The whole station is now expected to be completed in 1995, together with the associated railway works which I announced on 22 March.
