§ Ms GordonTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, pursuant to his answer of 1 December,Official Report, column 627, if he will examine the feasibility of bringing forward amendments to the Representation of the People Acts to outlaw the production of fraudulent election leaflets purporting to come from a rival political party.
§ Mr. Peter LloydWe have no immediate plans to do so. The issue may arise in discussions with the political parties next year and I shall consider any representations which might then be made on this issue.
