§ Mr. WaldegraveIn the 18 months to September 1993, provisional estimates suggest the programme will lead to savings of approximately £100 million of savings per year.
This figure is the difference between the annual cost of activities before testing and their annual cost afterwards, 484W taking account of the redundancy and other costs attributable to the individual market tests. Where costs before testing have not been reported, no savings have been attributed.
