§ Mr. AitkenThe information contained in my answer of 3 November—Official Report, columns 295-96—was given exceptionally and contrary to the established practice of successive administrations not to release information about individual defence exports. This was because some of the detail of these contracts had been made public during 525W oral evidence given to Lord Justice Scott's inquiry. It would not be appropriate to give further details about the quantities and values of these contracts.
