To ask the President of the Board of Trade how much operating surplus has been surrendered by the Accounts Services Agency to the Exchequer each year since 1991; and if he will make a statement.

I refer the hon. Member to the answer I gave to the hon. Member for Hertfordshire, North (Mr. Heald) on 29 October,Official Report, column 805. The review of the Accounts Services Agency has yet to be concluded. In due course a decision will be taken and an announcement made.
