§ Mr. MacleanThe Government are satisfied that the penalties for offences involving fraud are adequate. Fraudulent trading and false accounting both carry a maximum sentence of seven years' imprisonment; and obtaining property by deception has a maximum sentence of 10 years' imprisonment.
