§ Mr. ForthThe replacement capital value of local education authority school buildings in England is estimated to be £36.8 billion million. This includes the cost of furniture and equipment and building design fees. Additionally the land value of school sites is estimated to be £3.8 billion. Information is not held centrally on the extent to which schools are occupied for other purposes.
