To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment when current planning permission for the thermal oxide reprocessing plant at Sellafield expires.

Mr. Curry

The planning permission, which is contained in SI 1978 No. 523, did not specify a final date by which the buildings must be completed and the plant brought into use.
