§ Sir George Young[holding answer 8 December 1993]: The future of the Housing Corporation's special allocation for Merseyside is being reviewed by officials from my Department and from the Housing Corporation. I expect to have recommendations before me in the spring.
In 1993–94, the specified capital grant allocation, which represents 60 per cent. of resources available for renovation grant activity, totalled £20.843 million for Merseyside. The allocation for 1994–95 will be announced later this month.
