To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is his estimate of the percentage of Britain's companies that are working at full capacity.

According to the October CBI quarterly industrial trends survey 39 per cent. of manufacturing firms were working at capacity. Estimates are not available for the whole company sector.
