Sir Ralph Howell

To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what was the value, in each year since 1979 of(a) the overall agricultural production in the United Kingdom, (b) overall food imports, (c) cereal and cereal substitutes imported into the United Kingdom and (d) cereal exports; and if she will express each figure as a percentage of the amount needed for self-sufficiency.
