To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what is the annual cost to the Department of the car service for Ministers; and how many vehicles are involved.

Mr. Redwood

The estimated cost of providing a car service for Ministers during the 1993–94 financial year is £161,000. There are four official cars, including two based in Cardiff.
