To ask the Chairman of the Accommodation and Works Committee what is the expected cost of teaching staff at Westminster Customer Care.

I have been asked to reply as the Member answering for the House of Commons Commission.
The cost of the customer care training programme for the Serjeant at Arms Department was met from that Department's training budget for which the overall figure was £20,000 in 1993–94. I have asked the Serjeant at Arms to write to the hon. Member with the details.
