§ Sir Patrick MayhewThere have been no negotiations with Sinn Fein on political matters at either ministerial or official level. As I told the House on Monday, there has been an exchange of documents through a channel of communication since February—and these are in the Library of the House. It is also a matter of record that Ministers and officials have met council delegations, which from time to time have included Sinn Fein members, to discuss constituency matters.
