HC Deb 02 December 1993 vol 233 cc660-1W
Mr. Campbell-Savours

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what proposals he has to visit hospitals in Downpatrick to discuss reorganisation.

Mr. Ancram

My noble Friend Lord Arran visited Downe hospital and maternity unit last month. He recently received the Eastern health and social services board's strategy for general (acute) hospital services which includes proposals concerning both those facilities. He intends to take until the end of February to consider any views which hon. Members and health and personal social services interests wish to put to him before taking final decisions on the strategy.
