To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster how many social scientists are members of the Council for Science and Technology.

§ Mr. Waldegrave
No social scientists are members of the Council for Science and Technology. Council members were chosen in their personal capacities to provide a top-level overview of science and technology issues, rather than for expertise in specific areas, or as representatives of particular sectors.
