§ Mr. Barry JonesTo ask the Secretary of State for Wales what assessment has been made of the adequacy of the number of medical house doctors and senior house officers in hospital trusts to cope with seriously ill patients under treatment by chemotherapy and requiring hospital admission; and if he will make a statement.

§ Mr. Gwilym JonesInformation on the number of cancer patients who travel from north Wales to English hospitals for treatment is not held centrally. However, the Christie hospital NHS trust and Clatterbridge centre for oncology report the following number of episodes (where an episode is the necessary sequence of treatment for one patient):
