HL Deb 28 April 1993 vol 545 cc17-8WA
Lord Norrie

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether, in the context of paragraphs 34 and 35 of the explanatory booklet for the claim form to be submitted to the Ministry of Agriculture, in filling in column B of the field data sheet of the Integrated Administration and Control System of the CAP reform, a farmer is required to enter the area of the entire field or only that part of it which he farms, and why the guidance notes issued by MAFF did not make this point clear.

The Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (Earl Howe)

The information that we need in the IACS application relates to each field which the applicant farms. This is emphasised at several places in the explanatory booklet and is indicated prominently in the heading of Section 1 of the field data sheet. If a field is divided between two different farmers, each must register his or her part of the field, if submitting an IACS application form, and complete sections D and E of the field data sheet.
