To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what information he has on the number of junior hospital doctors in Welsh health authorities and trust hospitals working over the prescribed 83 hours per week maximum; and if he will make a statement.

Health authorities and NHS trusts have confirmed that no junior doctor in Wales is contracted to work more than a maximum average of 83 hours per week with effect from 1 April 1993.
